Today, 12 June 2018 Tuesday, from Bikefriendly Consulting, as a consultancy specialized in the generation of Cycle Tourism Product, we launched a new project focused on the provision of specialized technical support for the Creation of a Cycle Tourism Product Club in Andalusia, by the Government of Andalusia.
There is no doubt that the Cycle tourism is a source of generating territorial value. A market in continuous growth, with great employment opportunities and economic impact, also improving well-being and living conditions in a clearly sustainable way.
The Community of Andalusia has more than 4.000 km of cyclable routes between Green Routes, Livestock Routes and other infrastructures, several mountain bike centers, an infinite number of mountain passes and a great wealth of landscape, culture, gastronomy and economics, which make the cycle tourism possibilities they offer The eight Andalusian provinces are infinite. In fact, within the strategic lines of the Government of Andalusia included in the Andalusian Bicycle Plan (PAB), There are several axes of action, of great relevance for the territory, and which are perfectly aligned with the deployment of a Specialization Strategy in Cycle Tourism which, thanks to Bikefriendly, is launched today, June 12, 2018.
In this way, from Bikefriendly Consulting, we will work on a global Project when it comes to valuing all the resources of the Community of Andalusia promoting the use of bicycles as an alternative to visit the area, through the following specific objectives:
- Value all the resources of the Community of Andalusia to promote the use of bicycles as an alternative to visit the area, deseasonalize tourist activity and increase the number of visitors through a high-quality, as well as socially, economically and environmentally sustainable, cycle tourism proposal that satisfies the needs and expectations of cycle tourists.
- Develop a product creation strategy within a Product Club framework based on the following axes:
- Train the business community and other agents in the cycle tourism value chain, through the transfer of knowledge, awareness and adequate training to meet the needs of demand.
- Promote the cohesion of existing Resources, Services and Products for the elaboration and/or development of complete Tourism Products, broader in time and more dispersed in the territory.
- Define an appropriate marketing and communication strategy for the Autonomous Community of Andalusia that activates an action plan composed of on- and off-line strategies.
In this way, the team Bikefriendly joins the group of agents working so that the Andalusian Bicycle Plan, approved on December 11, 2012 by the Governing Council of the Government of Andalusia, can achieve the territorial and environmental objectives set by the Autonomous Community.
