Basic information about our cancellation policy

 

1. Cancellation by the client

Any cancellation made by the client must be made in writing and notified to the agency at the following email: tours@bikefriendly.com.

The agency recommends taking out cancellation insurance.

General cancellation policy (oriented to all types of trips not specified in the following sections)

If the reservation is canceled more than 30 days in advance On the start date of the trip, the cancellation costs will correspond to the payment and down payment.

If the reservation is canceled less than 30 days before the start of the trip, the cancellation costs will correspond to 100% of the trip amount.

Cancellation policy for TRACKS BIKEFRIENDLY trips

If the reservation is canceled more than 15 days in advance On the start date of the trip, the cancellation costs will correspond to the payment and down payment.

If the reservation is canceled less than 15 days before the start of the trip, the cancellation costs will correspond to 100% of the trip amount.

Cancellation policy for international trips and Trips with Alma
If the reservation is canceled more than 45 days in advance At the beginning of the trip, the agency undertakes to return the pre-booking amount if another traveler is found to take the place of the traveler who made the cancellation.
 
If the reservation is canceled less than 45 days before the start of the trip, the cancellation costs will correspond to 100% of the total trip.
 
Regardless of the above, and especially with regard to plane, train, boat or any other means of transport tickets, the agency is not responsible for said service and for the guarantee of refund of the amount thereof. once issued, the traveler being subject to the rules established by each transport company (the majority of air tickets once issued do not allow changes or cancellations), as long as the ticket has been issued and paid for at the time of cancellation of the trip.
 
The traveler may cancel the trip without any penalty if the cause of the cancellation is due to the destination country changing its rules and laws and making the trip impossible. These changes are: border closures or mandatory medical quarantines in the country to which you are traveling. The traveler may opt for a refund of the amount in voucher format or a refund of the amount paid so far (excluding management expenses and/or pre-reservations paid to suppliers if there were)
Cancellation policy for sporting and cycling events
Bearded Vultures and Wallcreepers: 
If the reservation is canceled prior to the organization's bib draw, the cancellation costs will be 20% of the total amount.
If the reservation is canceled on the day of the bib draw by the organization or on days following it, the cancellation costs will be 100% of the trip.
Whenever the organization of the event allows it, a change of name of the reserve and number may be requested, giving the option to replace the ownership of the reserve and number. This option will be subject to approval by the Quebrantahuesos organization and may involve some type of extra cost for management.
 
Rest of sporting and cycling events: 
If the reservation is canceled more than 45 days before the event date, the agency undertakes to refund the reservation in full.
If the reservation is canceled less than 45 days but more than 30 days before the event date, the cancellation costs will be 20% of the total amount.
If the reservation is canceled less than 30 days before the event date, the cancellation costs will be 100% of the trip.
Whenever the organization of the event allows it, a change of name of the reserve and number may be requested, giving the option to replace the ownership of the reserve and number. 2. Cancellation of the trip by the agency

There will be no obligation for compensation in the following cases:

a) When the cancellation is due to the number of clients for the trip being less than required and this is communicated in writing to the client before the set deadline.

b) When the cancellation of the trip is due to reasons of force majeure, understood as those circumstances beyond the control of the person invoking them, abnormal and unforeseeable, the consequences of which could not have been avoided, despite having acted with due diligence. For example: health crises, terrorist acts, etc.

General cancellation policy for trips, getaways and TRACKS BIKEFRIENDLY trips with a closed dateThe agency reserves the right to cancel the trip until the last 7 days of departure of the same, in the event that the cancellation arises from the lack of clients to complete the minimum group (specified in the form for each trip), with a full refund of the amount paid by the client.
Cancellation policy for international trips and Viajes con Alma
The agency reserves the right to cancel the trip until the last 30 days of departure of the same, in the event that the cancellation arises from the lack of clients to complete the minimum group (specified in the form for each trip), with a full refund of the amount paid by the client.
Cancellation policy for sporting and cycling events
As the cancellation policy depends on each event and its organizers, you will be able to read the specific cancellation policy during the booking process, in the tab that will appear before confirming.
