BIKEFRIENDLY JOINS THE PEDAELA CHALLENGE WITH THE ORGANIZATION OF A CHALLENGE FOR ITS STAR ROUTE: ‘ORDESA TRACKS’

Thus, together with BH Bikes, it organizes a track of mountain BTT that aims to accumulate kilometers against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and increase the visibility of this neurodegenerative disease, still without a cure, while discovering the natural landscapes of the Aragonese pre-Pyrenees. Mountain biking and camaraderie will meet for six days - from May 28 to June 2 - in the challenge, whose objective is to complete Tracks de Ordesa. 260 kilometers and more than 7.200 meters of elevation await eight ambassadors selected to face the challenge
Irreversible, unstoppable and relentless. The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) It is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, rendering them inoperative. It attacks the nerves and muscles that control movement and, at the moment, there is no cure and there is no definitive reason why it occurs. PEDAELA is a solidarity initiative in which, through cycling, it proposes different extraordinary challenges with which it aims to give visibility and impact to ALS, as well as raise funds for research against this disease and help those affected and their families.
Bikefriendly, the leading cycle tourism company in Spain and closely linked to all types of solidarity actions, joins the new #RetoppedaEla through the organization of a spectacular trip that will take a group of eight ambassadors to the natural landscapes of the Aragonese pre-Pyrenees.
Thus, between May 28 and June 2, eight RIDERS They will travel a total of 260 kilometers in four stages of uninhabited valleys and ancient trails to cover a altitude of 7.205 meters and face a real challenge. The regions of Jacetania, Alto Gállego and Sobrarbe, in the Central Pyrenees, and the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park will be the settings for this challenge, which will offer wonderful landscapes with spectacular views, accompanied by the flight of the bearded vulture.
The company based in Jaca and expert in the sector of tracks Mountain BTT has designed this custom experience for the ambassadors selected by the PedaEla team during the month of May, who will complete the adventure with material provided by BH Bikes. Among them, the two founders of #RetopedaEla will participate, Álex and Héctor Rodríguez, who launched this initiative to fight against the disease that defeated their grandmother Felisa and join forces to, one day, defeat it.
With the aim of enjoying and making the most of the adventure, Bikefriendly has prepared in detail a demanding, vibrant and extremely beautiful itinerary, always with the aim of providing the greatest possible visibility. The route includes professional assistance, two Bike-friendly guides throughout the entire route, luggage transfers, full board accommodation, picnic en route and travel to Huesca at the end of the adventure.
