May 5, World Pulmonary Hypertension Day: PH Challenge EuroCycling
PH Challenge EuroCycling, a European event that will be held along the Mediterranean Route (EuroVelo 8) from Cádiz to Athens. 5.888 KM in the fight against Pulmonary hypertension, passing through 11 European countries where sports entities and clubs, fans and bicycle users will participate.
A great example of citizen collaboration, where thousands of cyclists will voluntarily travel this route with a common objective: the spread of the disease and obtaining the necessary funds for medical and scientific research into it.
The PH Challenge aims to travel the route of the EuroVelo route 8 as a demand for the completion of said route, the safe route of the Mediterranean, for cyclists.
Tutored and promoted by HPE-ORG Patients, it is a long-term project to commemorate annually, on May 5, the World Pulmonary Hypertension Day.
Although a main cycling route is proposed (Cádiz – Atenas), the project contemplates a wide range of possibilities with parallel activities in any area of the route. Concerts, auctions, sports challenges, talks and all types of events to promote the needs of those affected by Pulmonary Hypertension.
