Tracks Zona Zero and Zona Zero Road start rolling

This past weekend Bikefriendly Tours has presented two new products in the Sobrarbe region (Huesca).

On Friday the 17th at Hotel Spa Barceló Monasterio de Boltaña The atmosphere of great occasions was palpable and it was no wonder. we premiered Tracks Zona Zero y Zero Road Zone, and for this we received the main specialized media in the country, special guests such as Ismael Ventura y Milton Ramos, as well as friends, clients and ambassadors of Bikefriendly Tours.

Without forgetting the prominent presence of President of the Provincial Council of Huesca, Miguel Gracia, as well as the Managing Director of TuHuesca, Fernando Blasco, in addition to the mayors of Aínsa, Boltaña, Saint Lary and other representatives of the region of Overbearing, who wanted to accompany us during the dinner-presentation on Friday night.

But what most of us present wanted was for Saturday to dawn so we could enjoy what we like most, pedaling, and traveling the paths and routes that we had designed for the occasion. In this way, the 'beteteros', divided into various itineraries according to their level, entered the trails of Tracks Zona Zero, in the company of national mountain bike stars such as Ismael Ventura y Milton Ramos. These are his impressions:

Ismael Ventura

“For me it has been a privilege to be able to spend a weekend discovering the surroundings of the Sobrarbe region for mountain biking. Obviously I had already heard about Zona Zero and all its routes, but riding along its trails has allowed me to see that it really is a paradise for MTB. Not only for enduro, there are many possibilities for XC and bike-marathon cyclists like me. An example is the stages they have designed for Bikefriendly Zona Zero Tracks. If you add to that the new road routes, any cyclist should go through this region to enjoy MTB or road cycling at some point in their life. I imagine a week with a road bike, XC bike and enduro bike, and doing some type of different route every day... A dream! Something you can't do in many places in the world. As if that were not enough, the amount of services offered to cyclists is impressive. Here you know that you will not lack anything and that they will know what you need at all times as a biker. From fully equipped Bike-friendly accommodation, the possibility of renting all types of bikes, advice for routes... in short, everything you may need. "I travel a lot around the world from race to race and it is difficult to find everything that the Sobrarbe region has for the cyclist in one place."Milton Ramos

“As a good bike fan in general, I think I am lucky to have Sobrarbe, the routes and the way of experiencing mountain biking in Zona Zero so close. I think I am the one who has to thank you for inviting me to attend and experience two incredible days of true adventure. And also, sharing it with people who feel the same way I do about two wheels! A great event without a doubt.”

On the other hand, lovers of 'fine wheels' set off to explore some of the lonely roads that can be enjoyed thanks to the proposal of Zero Road Zone: a set of 30 routes, designed for road cyclists, that cover some of the most spectacular places in the Central Pyrenees. With barely 3,5 inhabitants per km2, the Sobrarbe region allows you to travel many kilometers along beautiful, rarely traveled local roads. In addition to having more than 300 days of sunshine a year.

The good weather accompanied everyone on the first day of Saturday, we shared food in the Hostal Río Ara de Fiscal, always friendly to cyclists, and while some continued pedaling to Boltaña after eating, others were taken by vehicle to the hotel, where everyone could enjoy a comforting Spa session. A casual cocktail dinner and a surprise concert by the rock band Hot N'Roll, (whose drummer is the director of Bikefriendly Tours, Luis Poch), put an end to an impressive day.

And on Sunday, despite the accumulated fatigue of the previous day, it was time to continue discovering on pedals this wonder of the region that is the Overbearing. Again, same mechanics: different itineraries, depending on the level of each one, but with the same level of fun for everyone. On this occasion we got together to eat at the Hotel Sanchez de Ainsa, where they prepared a magnificent farewell meal for us, before each and everyone set out on their way back home.

In short, a debut of Tracks Zona Zero y Zero Road Zone which has been a complete success… and which would not have been possible without the collaboration of the aforementioned accommodations (Hotel Spa Barceló Monasterio de Boltaña, Hostal Río Ara, Hotel Sánchez), along with other collaborators such as Hotel-Apartamentos Dos Ríos, Nutrixxion, Scott Spain, Ordesa Sport, Autocares Bergua and, from the administration side, TuHuesca.

Thank you all very much... And to those of you who couldn't join us, don't worry, Tracks Zona Zero y Zero Road Zone Open all year round... We are waiting for you!
