En Aneto Tracks you will travel through two valleys of the Aragonese Pyrenees, crossing the Natural Park Posets-Maladeta, dominated by the peak Aneto (3.404 m), roof of the Pyrenees. One of those valleys is Benasque, but it will be in Gistain Valley where you will ride through some of the most authentic and virgin corners of the Pyrenees.
You will cycle through such emblematic enclaves as the refuge of Estós, Llanos del Hospital, Aigualluts waterfall, Cerler, Castanesa Valley, Bonansa… Pyrenean rural areas, with a flavor of tradition and mountain customs, reaching 2.500 meters of altitude, which allows you to enjoy spectacular panoramic views.
Discovering the bearded vulture or the capercaillie, crossing areas of beech forests, black pine and high mountain pastures without vegetation, areas of cattle that rest in high mountains in the summer months, crossing melting rivers, high mountain lakes... make it one of the most unforgettable routes that you can pedal with your mountain bike.
