Jaca Pirineos Bikeland is a mountain bike center promoted by the Jaca City Council.
The proposal for mountain bike routes covers the best cycle paths of Mount Oroel, the Sierra and Selva de Jaca, the Garcipollera Valley, Mount Grosín and La Raca.
Jaca, the pearl of the Pyrenees, bets on mountain biking and launches Jaca Pyrenees Bikeland, a mountain bike center designed for the fun and enjoyment of mountain bike lovers.
With a proposal of Ruta 8 (12 in the near future), Jaca Pirineos Bikeland covers the best Permitted and marked mountain bike trails that is around its most characteristic natural environment: Mount Oroel, the Sierra and the Jaca Forest, Mount Grosín, the Garcipollera valley or the exciting Raca, in Astún, which also belongs to the municipality of Jaca.
Jaca Pirineos Bikeland was created with a proposal that is different from other mountain bike centers that already exist in the Aragonese Pyrenees, and it does so with the aim of expanding the existing offer and opening up the possibilities of cycle tourism in the Pyrenees to new profiles of cyclists.
For this reason, the Jaca mountain bike center offers 'all mountain' routes. In this way, although they run along paths or paths for a large part of their route, and take advantage of the best natural tubes in the environment, they are routes that do not accumulate the technical difficulties typical of pure downhill or enduro.
In this way, the Jaca Pirineos Bikeland routes are perfect for mountain bikers with some expertise who want to gain ease in the world of descents and trails, push yourself physically, reach heights with spectacular views of the Pyrenees and, at the same time, enjoy the cultural, leisure and restaurant offering complementary offered by the municipality of Jaca.
Six of the eight routes that have already been marked and opened to the public are circular and have been marked as red routes by IMBA, (the international mountain biking association), which means they are demanding. These routes are:
- Sierra de Jaca Trail: 35 km / + 780 m. VIEW.
- El Aljibe by Solaniello: 32 km / + 908 m. VIEW
- North Valley V1 – Humera in Bergosa: 24 km / + 681 m. VIEW.
- North Valley V2 – Charlé 63: 30,5 km / + 1.113 km. VIEW.
- La Lobera de Oroel: 18 km / + 887 m. VIEW.
- Deep Garcipollera: 23 km / + 851 m. VIEW.
Of the other two, one is the only black route in the Jaca Pirineos Bikeland BTT center and it is an exciting descent from the peak of La Raca. In just 6 kilometers you will overcome a negative slope of almost 900 meters high along an incredible path. It is also the only route that is not circular, as it only covers the descent.
- La Raca: 5,8 km / – 893 m. VIEW.
The eighth open route, also circular, is a 11,5 kilometer family ride around Jaca designed to introduce the little ones in the house to mountain biking and which intersperses some sections of the frequented river and river trails. the viewpoints.
- Jaca Walks: 11,5 km / + 113 m. VIEW.
In the near future, it is planned to open four other mountain bike routes that are currently in the process of validation and approval by all the necessary organizations.
