The history of Madrid, by bike

'The Point about History', the Telemadrid/La Otra/Onda Madrid program in which two “historicomics” They tell the small/big stories of Madrid and Spain by bicycle.

Lorenzo Gallardo and David Botello, both mounts (by bike), ride so much (on another bike), they link the different points of interest in the capital's neighborhoods (monuments, parks, unique buildings...) by pedaling. Pure sustainable urban transportation that fits perfectly with the casual tone of the program, the presenters and the very diverse guests.

The cycling merit of the production company Endor Digital de Media lies in not “using” the world of the bicycle as a pure decorative element, but in making it part of the television product. Very honored to have been the third of the cycling activists, after Miguel Samperio (Enbicipormadrid) e Isabel Ramis (Muéveteenbicipormadrid), to participate in this original adventure.

'The Point about History' It is also a meeting point for pro-Madrileñistas to test their knowledge against scriptwriters-presenters, who are more than prepared, and nicer than pesetas. David and Lorenzo, who are friends and residents in Madrid, frequently organize the so-called “Pointer Meetings” in which, with a glass of fetén wine, good old cheese and strawberry trees in between, one can obtain a doctorate in toponymy or paranormal events. And, pay attention to the fact, to step on the ground floor of the 'chamberilera' Bodega Santa Engracia 42, the one where Fernando Fernán Gómez wrote “Bicycles are -no- for the summer", can launch you to stardom. Get ready: Vallecas, Gran Vía and Carabanchel took center stage in the last three programs. In the first ones - there have already been 40 broadcast since last April - they made small mistakes. Little by little, through the RRSS, we corrected them, making them aware of the importance of interpreting, in C major (they are very sing-song), the current Mobility Ordinance. From the beginning, its circulation through the center of the road was exemplary and conveyed security. The opposite would have been to summon the ghosts that make this Madrid an eternal candidate for a Bike-friendly city. They add up so much, they add up so much, that every time they walk pushing their bikes along the sidewalks, with Chamberí arrogance, of course, they teach a doctoral thesis on respect for pedestrians.. The circulation through the green areas, often despised by the most bouncy cyclists, is exemplary. And all this despite the fact that they ride MTBs, wear sports jerseys and, hahaha, they hold on to the bollards! Will we end up “civilizing” them next season? Will they get the batteries BiciMAD...? The Point about History, “History is a point”, every Friday at 21:30 p.m. on Telemadrid.Author: @deteibols
