Today March 4, 2019 begins the celebration of the XNUMXst Urban Bicycle Meeting organized by Bikefriendly and driven by the Bicycle Cities Network, with Bilbao as the host city.
An event that adds a new step in the goal of building safer cities for bicycle lovers, implementing a more sustainable urban development policy.
A First Meeting that focuses its main objective on the promotion and generation of synergies between public administrations, start-ups and initiatives and companies linked to the field of urban cycle mobility.
With an important roster of speakers who will contribute their vision and knowledge regarding urban mobility by bicycle through various presentations and discussion tables, Bikefriendly as an organizing company, intends to continue supporting the bicycle as a vehicle for everyday use in the city, contributing to the sustainable development of our cities towards an increasingly higher quality of life.
For Bikefriendly, Collaboration between public administrations and the private sector is fundamental when it comes to moving towards a more sustainable future. That is why, and continuing with the line of action that characterizes all our Meetings, that in this First Urban Bicycle Meeting the coexistence between professional ex-cyclists like Carlos Sastre, innovative private companies in the field of cycle mobility and public institutions at the level national level, will guarantee high-level presentations and debate, contributing in a very positive way to the sustainable urban development of our cities.

Within the days, the delivery of the I Bikefriendly Awards promoted by the RCxB, intended to recognize the effort carried out by public entities attached to the Network of Cities for Bicycles when promoting projects, initiatives and/or actions aimed at promoting and facilitating the daily use of bicycles.
