Companies that encourage the use of bicycles among their employees can obtain CFE certification.
The European Union continues to move towards sustainable mobility and emission reduction and has decided to support a certification with which to recognize to companies that encourage commuting to work by bicycle. Un distinctive that was born through the European Bike2Work project, driven by the European Cyclists' Federation and that in Spain it will manage Bikefriendly.
The objective of the project is to recognize the efforts of the companies that promote the use of bicycles and encourage business commitment to the development of more sustainable cities.

Requirements to be a CFE company
To obtain the CFE certification you have to do the self-assessment test that appears on the website of the CFE certification. If approved, Bikefriendly will carry out a quality control and grant certification valid for three years. If not, the company can request support to analyze what aspects to improve.
All CFE companies must appoint an area coordinator which will serve as a reference on mobility issues. On the other hand, the company's offices will have to have a safe and quality bike parking close to the access door.
In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, the CFE companies They must implement other proposed measures such as promoting the participation of their employees in the annual 'Bike to Work' competition o launch a Incentive program. It also includes launching campaigns to encourage the use of bicycles, generate a map of safe routes or enable a maintenance space for bikes.
