The Network of Cities for Bicycles, chaired by the AMB, and Bikefriendly promote these awards to promote the daily use of bicycles in Spain

Fifteen cities and two provinces in Spain have been chosen as finalists for the Bikefriendly Awards 2023, a recognition granted to public administrations that promote projects, initiatives or actions aimed at promoting and facilitating the daily use of bicycles.

The Bikefriendly Awards are created and promoted by the Bicycle Cities Network (RCxB), chaired by the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB), and the consultant Bikefriendly Group, specialized in cycle tourism and active mobility. They were born in 2019 and are celebrated every two years, in a different city and within the framework of the state congress "Urban Bicycle Meeting”. The event brings together a large number of city councils and provincial councils in a day of exchange of ideas and experiences related to the promotion of cycling mobility at an urban and metropolitan level.

The winners of this new edition will be announced in the delivery gala of the Bikefriendly Awards 2023, which will take place on March 2 in Seville. This will be held at the Tourist Reception Center, located on Paseo Marques del Contadero, at 20 p.m.

III Urban Bicycle Meeting
