Bikefriendly Group participates as an expert organization on the topic within Subgroup VII. Bicycles and Economic Growth. Diagnostic Workshop
The Higher Council of Traffic, Road Safety and Sustainable Mobility has commissioned the General Directorate of Traffic to coordinate and promote the development of a State Strategic Plan for Bicycles (PEEB), which includes a set of measures to promote and promote bicycle.
To encourage the participation of all Administrations and organizations interested in the PEEB, the Technical Committee has been created , which has made an initial identification of areas to be addressed in the PEEB, and which will organize working subgroups around these topics:
- Mobility regulations
- urban designs
- Infrastructure: Greenways, Nature Trails and EuroVelo.
- School, family and social environment
- Transportation and recurring mobility
- Administrative issues and accidents
- Bicycle and economic growth
- Health and leisure, and cycling in natural spaces
- Cultural change and campaigns
When drafting the PEEB , the conclusions reached through two workshops will be used: one diagnostic workshop on those aspects that should be the focus of attention, and another workshop to identify scenarios, benefits, change and actions related to the diagnosis derived from the first workshop.
Today, Thursday, April 26th at 11am, Bikefriendly Group, represented by the General Director of Bikefriendly Tours , Luis Poch , participates in the first Diagnostic workshop as an expert organization on the subject.
This workshop will follow a group work dynamic, in which the participants will make their contributions regarding the development of the economic sectors most related to the bicycle, discussing in teams about three fundamental sectors: cycle tourism, cycle logistics, and material and services.
Active participation, productive discussion and agreement among participants will be encouraged to obtain a diagnosis that reflects the team's joint vision.
