Bikefriendly Consulting organizes a work session on cycle tourism, sustainable mobility and territory, on September 21 within the framework of the Madrid International Bike Fair.
With profits of around 1.640 billion euros per year in Spain, and 44.000 in Europe, cycle tourism represents a great opportunity for sustainable economic development for territories seeking to enhance their tourism aspect, avoiding one of the usual drawbacks of the sector, seasonality.
Furthermore, we are facing a global environmental crisis and projections that estimate that by 2050 nearly 70% of the world's population will live in urban environments. It is more necessary than ever to transform the current, outdated city model focused on meeting the needs of cars into one designed by and for people , with the bicycle as the priority mode of urban transport. These ideas will be the focus of the workshop organized by Bikefriendly Consulting on Thursday, September 21st , to be held within the framework of UNIBIKE , the International Bicycle Fair in Madrid.
