As you well know, the transhumant activity of the Pyrenees has been the main means of subsistence from Prehistory to the last century. Since the Middle Ages, cattle regularly ascended to the Pyrenean valleys from the plain when summer approached. This annual process called transhumance shaped the life and society of the Pyrenean peoples until the 19th century.

Some roads that in Castilla are called Cañadas and  in Aragon Cabañeras, and that some  Mountain bike lovers and connoisseurs of the environment use it to explore the high Aragonese territory.
