La Commonwealth of Durango and the municipalities of Alagón, Iurreta and Elorrio will use the Bikefriendly mobile app to promote the campaign '30 days by bike' during the month of September and thus promote the daily use of bicycles and active mobility in their territories.
The '30 days by bike' challenge seeks to promote the use of bicycles and
active mobility, encouraging the population to carry out at least one bike ride a day during this month of September and a minimum of 30 kilometers by bike throughout the month.
To participate in the '30 Days on a Bike' challenge through the Bikefriendly app, participating companies and public entities have created their own groups in the application, which will be made public starting August 31.
From that moment, the residents of the participating municipalities and the workers of the registered companies will be able to find the group in the app (first, of course, you have to download the Bikefriendly app and create a user) and join it.
By clicking 'play' on the application on each trip you make by bicycle during each day of the month of September, you will be adding kilometers for your group and adding chances of winning one of the prizes that are up for grabs.
From Bikefriendly, we will raffle a weekend getaway in Bikefriendly establishments among all participants who register at least one daily trip every day of the month of September and who, in total, add up to at least 30 kilometers.
In addition, the town councils and regions themselves will raffle prizes among their neighbors.
Commonwealth of Durangaldea: CFE Territory
Within the framework of the project promoted by the commonwealth of Durangaldea to become the first territory certified as Cycle Friendly Employer, and in order to consolidate the daily use of bicycles in the region, the entity joins the '30 days by bike' challenge.
To encourage participation in this challenge, the Commonwealth, in collaboration with Decathlon, Cafés Baqué and Elorriaga Kirolak, will carry out a raffle of various lots among all the people of Durangaldea registered in the group called 'Durangaldea', who have registered daily activity and a minimum of 30 kilometers in total during the month of September.
In this way, the aforementioned entities, in addition to promoting bicycle mobility for their employees, have also wanted to encourage the participation of all the citizens of Durangaldea, making a donation of various materials for the raffle:
- 1 Folding bicycle (Decathlon)
- 10 bicycle reviews (Elorriaga Kirolak)
- 10 lots of coffee (Cafés Baqué)
El Elorrio City Council, for its part, will raffle an electric bicycle among all residents who participate by recording their bike trips every day of the month of September and reach those 30 kilometers in total.

CFE Certificate
In addition, all companies and public entities participating through the Bikefriendly app will be eligible for the 30 Days Bike to Work Awards. The winner of each category (companies and local entities) You will receive a free certificate Cycle Friendly Employer from your workplace (after the corresponding support, which will also be provided free of charge).
The CFE certificate is part of a project promoted at European level by the European Cyclists' Federation to promote the adaptation of work centers to the needs of those who travel to their jobs every day by bicycle and to recognize companies and entities that encourage this type of mobility, distinguishing them in three categories: gold, silver and bronze.
The Commonwealth of Durangaldea, determined to promote cycling and active mobility, became the first public body with CFE accreditation last July, and 22 other organizations in the region, including town councils, companies and centers educational and research projects are in the process of obtaining it and are also joining this challenge that wants to make September bicycle month.
In the business category, they have already registered for the awards Baqué Coffees, My Health Pharmacy, La Luna Shipping, coworking ULab Ideas Meeting Point, Sagulpa, Decathlon Durango, and Katiak SA, in addition to other entities that are in the process of creating their groups to activate the challenge during the next week.
