With only two days in International Tourism Fair We can now confirm something: cycle tourism is booming.
And finally the appointment arrived. After months of work and sleepless nights, we are present with our own stand at the Madrid International Tourism Fair, one of the most important in the world. And the sensations couldn't be better... Bikefriendly is in fashion!
We've had few quiet moments at the fair so far. Aside from the appointments and meetings we had scheduled in advance, our stand (Hall 8, Stand B25) has been a constant flow of people interested in learning about our project and, in one way or another, getting involved.
On the one hand, many accommodations have contacted us to inquire about our Quality Seal and how to obtain it, from small rural establishments to large luxury hotels. And not only from within Spain… We also have inquiries from abroad! So stay tuned for our upcoming additions; there may be many surprises…
From the perspective of Bikefriendly Tours , the wholesale-retail travel agency we created just over a year ago, the feedback has also been very positive, especially when showcasing our new work tool, the website bikefriendlytours.bike , where you can find all our proposals for 2017, both for organized and scheduled trips, as well as those you can design yourself. We invite you to visit it if you haven't already. And as a consultancy working for various regions of Spain, in addition to presenting Huesca as the first certified Bikefriendly Territory , the contacts and meetings with other areas of Spain and their administrative bodies have also been fruitful… and we hope that very soon other provinces will decisively commit to cycle tourism as a form of sustainable economic development and a source of wealth for the local populations. In short, two very productive days at FITUR 2017 … and there's still more to come. Because the weekend promises to be exciting. We'll tell you all about it!
