With a life literally rolling by, Fernando Arroyo and Valeria Sáenz, thanks to an innovative initiative, have taken the practice of this sport to a new level for cycle tourists with the inauguration of the first Bikefriendly accommodation in Mexico.
Through Arroyo Cycling Center and in collaboration with Hacienda Soltepec, the grand opening took place on February 4, unveiling the plaque of the complex “HOUSE OF BICYCLES”, a project that turns Hacienda Soltepec into the First Bikefriendly Hotel with the International quality seal Bikefriendly en Mexico City.
At this event, the owners of the Hacienda had the valuable presence of Mr. Salvador Santos Cedillo, Municipal President of Huamantla, Mr. José Luis Sosa, General Director of the Mexican Sports Tourism Council, Mr. Renato Sánchez Rojas, Municipal President of Ixtenco, and Mr. Salvador Flores, Manager of the Chocolate Mayordomo company.
The entire complex meets what is necessary to offer a memorable stay for cyclists, since it is a space made by cyclists for cyclists. Currently, the Treasury has a structured calendar to attend to the road and mountain cyclists. On the other hand, a very important attraction is the La Malinche National Park, which is just 2 km away and is located at 4.420 meters above sea level.
Fernando and Valeria know that trusting Bikefriendly is becoming part of a group that understands the needs of cyclists and pursues rigorous quality standards when implementing each service.
“Knowing the value and importance that the government gives to health and promotion of sports, we hope that our work through 'The House of Bicycles'allows to promote the state of Tlaxcala as a quality National and International cycling destination," they explain from the accommodation.
