The next Wednesday June 13At Bikefriendly Consulting, as specialists in territorial specialization and promotion of cycle tourism products, we launched the project “Province of Segovia, Bikefriendly Territory” by Prodestur Segovia.
La Segovia province It has an important cycle tourism potential thanks to its great natural, heritage, gastronomic and cultural attractions, which is why the Provincial Council is clearly committed to promoting cycle tourism as a source of generating territorial value, for which it will have the collaboration of Bikefriendly .
In this sense, the Autonomous Organization PRODESTUR is doing a great job to promote cycle tourism in the province as a development opportunity for the business network and a source of value generation for the territory. And it is in this context that the need arises to define a Cycle Tourism Master Plan for the Province of Segovia that contemplates the most appropriate strategies for the correct generation of cycle tourism products with high added value and that serve for the correct structuring of the tourist destination.
For that, During the project, work will be done to increase public-private collaboration efforts with the aim of achieving a truly “Bike-friendly” territory through the following work areas:
- AWARENESS AND COORDINATION OF AGENTS: Facilitating coordination and collaboration between the different public-private agents in the tourism sector that can add value to the territory's cycle tourism offer.
- SPECIALIZATION – QUALITY: Promoting the specialization of the local tourism fabric, so that they can offer quality services and infrastructure adapted to the needs and demands of the cyclist and allow the territory to be certified as a Bikefriendly Territory.
- COMMUNICATION AND BRAND: Promoting the Province of Segovia brand, Bikefriendly Territory in order to improve the positioning of the territory as a node of cycling tourism attraction.
In short, from Bikefriendly Consulting, The main objective pursued with this project is to enhance all the resources of the Province when promoting the use of bicycles. as an alternative to visit the area, deseasonalize tourist activity and increase the number of visitors through a high-quality, as well as social, economic and environmentally sustainable cycle tourism proposal that satisfies the needs and expectations of cycle tourists.
A project that will involve a common effort between public and private institutions in the area, which are committed to specialization and generation of its own Cycle Tourism Product by obtaining the Quality Certification as a Bikefriendly Territory.
