Bikefriendly will be present as a company specialized in cycle tourism with the presentation “Bikefriendly World: 5 key success factors in the development of quality cycling products”
It is a fact that the common practice of cycle tourism is spreading throughout Europe. New destinations such as Spain are being added to already consolidated destinations such as Germany or France, which is destined to consolidate itself as a reference destination in the coming years.
At the European level, one of the initiatives that is contributing the most to this expansion is the project Eurovelo, promoted by the ECF (European Cyclists' Federation) who is responsible for the development of a network of 15 long-distance cycling routes that will connect all of Europe, creating a large network that contributes to the socioeconomic development of the territories where it passes and the expansion of the practice of cycle tourism. But this network cannot be consolidated without the cooperation of the agents from the different territories involved.
This is why since 2012 the ECF has promoted the biennial Eurovelo and Cycle Tourism Conference (Nantes 2012, Basel 2014 and Vienna 2016), a leading meeting in the sector that brings together public and private professionals specializing in the field of cycle tourism where we can share knowledge, highlight good practices and promote, ultimately, greater development of the Eurovelo network and the cycle tourism sector in Europe.
