Prior to the development of a cycle tourism product, a project promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council, in collaboration with Bikefriendly Consulting, is launched with the aim of analyzing and understanding the characteristics of cycle tourism in the province, as well as its potential and resources. .
The Alicante municipality organizes these sessions, from November 20 to 24, which have the participation of the group's General Director, Sergio Serna, as an expert in strategic planning and territorial development.
Next October 25 we will be present at this event organized by the city council of Aranda de Duero (Burgos) and Red Innpulso. In this first edition, a large number of experts in territorial strategies will meet, not only municipal, such as the mayors of Ermua, Alcoi and Salamanca, but also national as representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, and the Ministry of Finance.
Bikefriendly Consulting has been working for months with the Sant Boi de Llobregat City Council on the development of its own Urban Bike Strategy, a tool that will contribute decisively to the new healthier and more sustainable city model. A strategy that has begun to take shape in the recent European Mobility Week.
Bikefriendly Consulting organizes a work session on cycle tourism, sustainable mobility and territory, on Thursday, September 21 within the framework of the Madrid International Bike Fair, where the territorial initiatives developed by Bikefriendly will be analyzed and there will also be time for an interesting table round with experts.
With around 1.640 million euros in profits per year in Spain, and 44.000 in Europe, cycle tourism constitutes a great opportunity for sustainable economic development for territories seeking to enhance their tourism side, avoiding one of the sector's usual drawbacks, seasonality.
