At Tracks Bikefriend , we adapt to your needs as cyclists and offer three different ways to experience this mountain bike route. We have the classic version, the Slow version for a more relaxed ride, and the Plus option for those who love a real challenge. The choice is yours!
Classic Lava Tracks
Mountain bike enthusiasts, from beginners to experts, Tracks de Lava Clásica is for you. This circular route starts in Puerto del Carmen, in the southeast of the island. It covers approximately 250 kilometers and has 3500 meters of elevation gain , depending on the number of stages you choose. Select the route that best suits your needs; you can choose between 3 and 7 stages . We recommend completing it in 5 days, as this is the most balanced way to do it. If you choose the 6-stage route, you'll explore the beautiful El Golfo area and the Los Hervideros coast.
Tracks Lava Slow
Do you prefer a more relaxed journey? Tracks Lava Slow is a route without long distances or technical sections. You'll start in Costa Teguise and your journey will take you along easy tracks and quiet roads with some easy trails.
It covers a distance of 190-220 kilometers and has a cumulative elevation gain of 1700-2100 meters . You decide how to do it: in 6 stages that pass through the natural wonders of the Gulf, Los Hervideros, and Salinas de Janubio , or in 5 days, skipping that part of the route. If you want to enjoy it to the fullest, we suggest doing it in 6 days—you won't miss a thing!
Tracks Lava Plus
A version specially designed for the most adventurous, those who are always looking for new challenges. Tracks Lava Plus is a route that minimizes asphalt and focuses on the beauty of the landscape, the logical layout of the route, and the most enjoyable sections. The route is 269 kilometers long with 5750 meters of accumulated elevation gain. With this option, you can add the stage that passes through the island of La Graciosa to your route , bringing the total to almost 300 kilometers and more than 6000 meters of accumulated elevation gain.
We remind you that Tracks Lava Plus is very demanding. The terrain, gradients, and technical difficulties are designed for cyclists with a high level of fitness and technique.
