Benasque, the center and heart of the Pyrenees, is a destination surrounded by nature where you will be able to enjoy the full potential of its surroundings. It is the center of all outdoors activities, the perfect destination to combine bicycle time with times of leisure and relaxation off the bike.

The routes we offer will make it possible for you to ride through the most iconic areas of the Benasque Valley, characterized by having the highest number of 3,000-meter high peaks in the Pyrenees.

The valley offers an enormous amount of paths and trails to ride your mountain bike, through lush woods and with beautiful views.

Itinerario

STAGE 1: Benasque - Estos

Distancia: 30km Desnivel: +1.500m

The first stage will take us to the heart of the Posets-Maladeta Park, peaking at 1,900 meters of altitude in Besurta. We will ride past the meadows of Llanos del Hospital and the beautiful spots of Plan de Senarta or Baños de Benasque. On our way to the Estos lodge we will pass the famous Turmo Cabin, which became popular in the nineties thanks to the song from Celtas Cortos.

STAGE 2: Estos - Campo

Distancia: 73km Desnivel: +1.644m

At the start of the second stage we will border the Ésera River and then face the day’s climb, the beautiful road up to the Cerler Station. We will cover the first kilometers on pavement and then go on to a path that will take us to the three waterfalls of the Ardonés Cliff. To our left we will find the Cerler Peak (2,406 m), from where we will ride down and keep on riding alongside the Ésera River. We will enjoy trails and paths that will lead us to the Santa Margalida Lodge, and then ride on to Campo.

STAGE 3: Campo - Plan

Distancia: 63km Desnivel: +1.860m

In the fourth stage we will take the road back and ride north through the small towns of Senz and Viu. The mountain rocks will watch us from the left and be our companions down to the Laspuña Reservoir, where we will cross the Cinca River. This stage will guide us along the river, where we will take an uphill path towards Sin. This is one of the hardest climbs of the day, but we will be rewarded with amazing views. As soon as we reach Gistaín we will have managed to overcome the hardest area; all we need to do now is ride down to Plan.

STAGE 4: Plan - Benasque

Distancia: 54km Desnivel: +2.300m

We will start off the last stage of the route riding up to the Gistaín Hospital, from where we will ride up to the beautiful Viadós Lodge. We will go around the south side of Posets-Maladeta National Park, reaching San Juan de Plan and then facing the last kilometers on a track down to the Saun mountain pass (2,010 m). The way down will be long and fun; it will take us down to the Linsoles Reservoir, from where we will ride parallel to the river until we reach Benasque.
