Tracks Costa da Morte, wild and authentic

En Tracks Costa da Morte you will roll through this wild area of Galicia, sharing some stretch of the the Camino de Santiago with the pilgrims until reaching Fisterra.

Bikefriendly Tracks It offers us the possibility once again of discovering some of the mountain bike routes through the most spectacular stages of the Iberian Peninsula. In Tracks Costa da Morte You will ride through this wild area of Galicia, sharing some stretch of the Camino de Santiago with pilgrims until you reach Fisterra. You will cross the towns of Muxía, Laxe, Camariñas, admiring prehistoric monuments such as the Dombate dolmen, the Virxe da Barca Sanctuary, or enjoying panoramic views such as the Ézaro viewpoint.

In the initial part of the route you will pedal along the same coast, contemplating the area of the Lires estuary, between Fisterra and Muxía, passing by virgin white sand beaches, bathed by a dangerous and rough sea.

Camariñas, Cape Vilán and the English Cemetery are other strong points of the itinerary, always with the sea as a backdrop until reaching the town of Laxe. Eye! The terrain here becomes steeper and more technical, which adds a bit of excitement. The road softens towards A Picota, in the interior area of the Costa da Morte, a territory not exempt from beauty such as that shown by the Fervenza reservoir, another of the obligatory stops to demonstrate your photographic skills.

The final section of this circular route coincides in some sections with the Camino de Santiago to Fisterra, so you will share pedal strokes with many pilgrims who, like you, will be amazed by the panoramic views that can be seen from the Ézaro viewpoint, a few kilometers before ending the trip.

It is worth highlighting the gastronomic attraction of the destination, being able to contemplate the barnacles at work or the typical conger eel drying rooms., and then taste the seafood at the end of each stage. In this sense, a must-see is the restaurant of the Hotel Oca Insua, in the town of Cee, and the Casa do Peixe, in Muxía, whose owners have their own fishing boat and traditional conger eel drying rooms.Tracks Costa da Morte allows you to do the route in 4 or 5 days, depending on your physical condition. The ideal is to do it in 5 days to enjoy the route, but if you do not have enough days, Tracks Bikefriendly will customize the route to suit you.

The accommodations used have the Bikefriendly quality seal, are specialized in cycle tourism and sports cycling with high quality services that will surprise you.
