The coordinator will receive and welcome you at the airport. Nairobi.
Transportation to the accommodation Oloolua Resort managed by the solidarity project Stop
In Nairobi, specifically in the area of the Ngong Mountains (where Karen Blixen's house “Out of Africa” is located), is where our accommodation is located: Imani Lodge, the exclusive property of the orphanage with which we collaborate and which we will get to know thanks to Tumaini.
The profits from the accommodation are reinvested in the orphanages and thus cover part of the expenses of the boys and girls who are there, also giving them the opportunity to enter the labor market through work at the Lodge. All the accommodation employees are “former Imani children”. We are going to live, with the help of its founder “Mama Faith”, a truly enriching and incredible experience. At Imani we have found the real meaning of the word LOVE and KINDNESS.

Culture
Kenya is a country of great cultural diversity, with more than 40 ethnic groups who have preserved their traditions over time. The Maasai, known for their nomadic lifestyle and red clothing, are one of the most iconic peoples, famous for their ritual dances and jumps. On the coast, Swahili culture reflects strong Arabic, Indian and Persian influences, with its characteristic architecture and spicy cuisine.
Hospitality is key in Kenyan society; Visitors are often greeted with a cup of chai tea or ugali, a staple cornmeal dish. Music and dance are essential to daily life, with rhythms such as benga and taarab enlivening celebrations and gatherings.
The official language is English, but Swahili is the most widely spoken language and a symbol of national unity. In daily life, the concept of "harambee" (community service) reflects the solidarity-based mentality of the Kenyan people. Furthermore, spirituality is present in both Christian and Muslim religions, as well as in traditional animistic beliefs.

Testimonials
The work being done by Bicycles Without Borders and Bikefriendly is commendable and makes me think there is still hope in the world.
I've seen firsthand that this project is real and not just a gimmick. The idea is truly brilliant, and it's helping many children and adolescents continue their education in a very meaningful way, as it's not a charity, but a means for the local population to develop.
The immersive experience in the country is complete, and traveling around the country by bike helps us feel fully integrated into the environment. In just one week, we've been able to understand and learn a lot about this country and its wonderful people, who are materially poor but spiritually rich.
I take my hat off to the work done by both the guide Sergio and the local team, which included Alpha, my lifelong friend and very professional, as well as Idi, Maurice, and Sidy.
I will definitely recommend this trip.
I recommend it, the routes exceeded my expectations! The hotels were good and the food was very good.
