There are places where the sea and the mountains coexist so closely that each day offers a completely different landscape. Tracks del Flysch invites you to discover one of these unique territories, exploring some of the most spectacular corners of Gipuzkoa by mountain bike along a circular route that connects Zumaia, Zarautz, Azpeitia, and Azkoitia.

The route crosses the Basque Coast Geopark , a natural area of international importance where the impressive flysch cliffs tell millions of years of geological history overlooking the Cantabrian Sea . From the coast, the route ventures inland in Gipuzkoa, following old paths, forest tracks, and trails that traverse mountains, forests, and small valleys dotted with farmhouses.

Throughout the stages, you'll discover some of the most iconic landscapes of the Basque Country, combining the beauty of coastal towns like Zumaia and Zarautz with the historical and cultural character of Azpeitia and Azkoitia, enclaves deeply rooted in Basque tradition. Without a doubt, a full-suspension bike is the most suitable for this type of route.

Tires

Versatile tires are best suited to the varied terrain (rock slabs, paths, steps, tracks, loose gravel sections, cobblestones, etc.). The area has abundant vegetation. Local cyclists use tubeless tires or inner tubes with sealant.
