Description
Exploring Tenerife by mountain bike is discovering an island of contrasts where nature changes with every pedal stroke.
This TRACKS journey will take you from lush Canary pine forests to spectacular volcanic landscapes, passing through historic paths, forest tracks and viewpoints overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The main attraction of the trip is the Teide National Park , declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO , a unique setting dominated by the highest peak in Spain and surrounded by an impressive sea of lava, volcanic cones and geological formations that make each stage an unforgettable experience.
Along the route, you'll also discover the natural and cultural richness of Tenerife , passing through small mountain villages, traditional agricultural areas, and protected spaces that showcase the island's enormous diversity . The contrast between the high mountain landscapes, forests, ravines, and the constant proximity of the Atlantic makes this route one of the most comprehensive mountain biking experiences in the Canary Islands.
Due to the accumulated elevation gain and terrain, we recommend this route with an e-bike, allowing you to fully enjoy each stage without missing out on the highlights. We offer bike rentals, with bikes ready to tackle every day with complete peace of mind.

Technical sheet
This TRACKS route explores some of Tenerife's most iconic natural landscapes, beginning in the historic city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna , a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, the route delves into the spectacular Anaga Rural Park , a Biosphere Reserve, where lush forests, scenic roads, and small hamlets offer one of the island's most authentic experiences.
The route continues towards La Orotava , one of the municipalities with the greatest heritage wealth in the Canary Islands.
From the summits, the adventure continues to Santiago del Teide , gateway to the impressive Teno Massif , where a circular stage allows you to discover one of the most authentic and least known corners of western Tenerife.
The route continues towards Vilaflor , the highest municipality in Spain, to tackle one of the most spectacular stages of the journey: the ascent to Teide National Park , reaching the Parador del Teide at 2.152 meters above sea level , the highest point of the entire route. A unique volcanic landscape, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where lava flows, volcanic cones, and the majestic Mount Teide create one of the most breathtaking scenerys in Europe, traversing some of the island's most iconic mountain trails. Finally, a long descent through pine forests and volcanic landscapes leads to El Médano , on the south coast of Tenerife, where the Atlantic Ocean provides the perfect ending to a journey that encapsulates the natural, scenic, cultural, and gastronomic essence of the largest of the Canary Islands.
