Tracks La Rioja

Discover La Rioja by mountain bike, from the great vineyards of La Rioja Alta to the landscapes of the Cantabrian and Demanda mountain ranges, in a land where wine, nature and cycling go hand in hand.

Description

Discovering La Rioja by mountain bike means pedaling through a region where the landscape, wine, and gastronomy are all integral parts of the journey. TRACKS LA RIOJA offers an MTB route through vineyards, wineries, historic villages, and mountains, exploring some of the most iconic landscapes of one of Spain's great wine regions.

The route begins in Logroño , winding through the vineyards of the Ebro Valley and into the Rioja Alavesa region , with iconic towns like Laguardia , before continuing towards Briñas and the landscapes of La Rioja Alta . Here, vast vineyards and wineries coexist with small villages and a heritage closely linked to wine culture for centuries.

But La Rioja is much more than vineyards. Cycling also takes us to the mountains and the vast natural spaces of the region, reaching Ezcaray and the Sierra de la Demanda , where the landscape changes completely and forests, mountain trails, and scenery reveal a much less known side of La Rioja.

And, of course, a trip through this region wouldn't be complete without making time to enjoy its other star attraction: Rioja's gastronomy . Visiting a winery, tasting Rioja wines, and discovering local products and flavors makes this TRACKS route much more than just a mountain bike ride: it's a way to experience La Rioja by bicycle.

Furthermore, at Bikefriendly we can tailor the trip to your needs , adjusting the number of stages, accommodations, services, and route characteristics to suit the group's requirements. Because not all cyclists travel the same way, and we want everyone to be able to discover La Rioja at their own pace.
