Tracks Vall de Camprodon

An MTB adventure between Spain and France, with trails, high mountain tracks and spectacular panoramic views of the Catalan Pyrenees.

Description

TRACKS CAMPRODON is a self-guided mountain bike route through the Catalan Pyrenees , exploring the landscapes of the Camprodon Valley and some of the most attractive areas of Ripollès . A multi-stage adventure through mountain villages, forests, trails, and tracks with breathtaking views of the Pyrenean peaks.

The route crosses a territory dominated by mountains such as Balandrau, Gra de Fajol, Bastiments, and Costabona . The valleys formed by the Ter and Ritort rivers converge in Camprodon, creating a high mountain landscape perfect for cycling and enjoying nature.

The route combines fast tracks, flowing trails, and some technical sections, avoiding roads whenever the terrain allows. One of its key distinguishing features is its cross-border nature , as part of the itinerary crosses between Spain and France, following paths related to the historic Exile Route.

Ripoll, Sant Joan de les Abadesses, and Camprodon also offer the chance to discover the heritage and culture of the Girona Pyrenees . Monasteries, medieval bridges, small towns, and excellent mountain cuisine complete the experience after each day on the bike.

The CAMPRODON TRACKS can be done with a hardtail mountain bike, a full-suspension mountain bike, or an e-MTB. It is especially recommended between spring and autumn, when the high mountain trails usually offer better conditions.

You can choose from different options of two, three, or four stages and adapt the accommodations, difficulty, and services to the characteristics of your group. We design this custom MTB route for groups of at least two cyclists.

TRACKS CAMPRODON explores the Ripollès and Vall de Camprodon regions via a mountain route that combines linear and circular stages. The complete option begins and ends in Ripoll, after passing through some of the most iconic locations in the Catalan Pyrenees.

The first stage links Ripoll with Sant Joan de les Abadesses, two towns closely connected to the history and medieval heritage of Catalonia. From Sant Joan, the route continues towards Camprodon along tracks, paths, and trails surrounded by forests and mountain landscapes.

Camprodon becomes the base for the next day's journey, a circular stage that allows you to explore the valley, approach the French border, and travel along sections of the historic Exile Route. The full version includes a final stage from Camprodon to Ripoll, thus completing the route.

The three-stage option covers the route from Ripoll to Camprodon and ends with a circular day, including the return transfer. The two-stage alternative starts in Sant Joan de les Abadesses, continues to Camprodon, and is completed with a circular stage through the valley.
