Description

Montserrat, the magical mountain and a mecca for Catalan cycling, awaits you. You'll approach the peak via its north face, the most emblematic, and spend the night in accommodation next to the monastery. The mountain dominates central Catalonia, which you'll explore along a selection of paths and trails that will take you through the best spots while you discover the area's customs, history, and cuisine. If you wish, you can spend more than one night at Montserrat and take the opportunity to hike and enjoy this natural park.

There are many mysteries and legends associated with Montserrat, the sacred mountain. A place of pilgrimage and a must-see for any cyclist visiting Catalonia. The "moreneta" (blackened mountain), the "timbaler del bruc" (Bruc drum), UFO sightings, climbing... there are many nuances that generate attraction to this unique natural environment. The mountain imposes its presence throughout central Catalonia. You'll pass through fun trails but also charming villages and places that will surprise you. You'll have the opportunity to taste the local cuisine and the excellent wines of the Pla de Bages DO, even stopping at a local winery if you wish. If you want to take it more slowly, you have the option of taking more accessible routes. A virtual guide will advise you en route so you can take the path that best suits you.
