FAQs

Ideal bike: A full-suspension bike is the most suitable for this type of route.

Tires: Versatile tires are the most appropriate, as you'll encounter different surfaces: rock, dirt tracks, loose rock sections, cobblestones, etc. It's best to use tubeless tires or inner tubes with sealant. If you're hiking in the mountains and the weather changes quickly, it's advisable to carry at least a windbreaker. We recommend carrying a backpack with water, a multi-tool, and enough spares like inner tubes. A thermal blanket and a small first-aid kit are always helpful.

Orientation: The GPS equipment continues, either with yours or we can rent one for you. We deliver the track in GPX format. The organization also provides those registered with a map of the route with points of interest during the stages, restaurants, accommodation, etc.

Best time: Spring, summer, and autumn, although summer tends to be warmer. It's closed in winter due to snow, as we exceed 2000 m at three points along the route.

Type of roads: This route explores less-traveled and therefore technical trails and paths, both uphill and downhill. There are short portage sections as we overcome high mountain passes. Depending on your technique and strength, the route is 90% rideable.

Philosophy: This is a self-guided, non-competitive tour. The important thing is to enjoy mountain biking in its purest form.

Luggage transport: Considering the technical nature of the route and altitude, it is advisable to book this service.

Mechanical assistance: The organization offers the support service on the route, in the briefing we explain the rates.

Supplies: In the initial briefing we explain it to you on the route map, but we recommend carrying a backpack with enough water and food to ride the entire day, given that there are some stages that do not pass through inhabited towns.
