Tracks Fuerteventura It is a stage-by-stage mountain bike route in Fuerteventura that will guide us through a 294 km route and approximately 4.820 m of accumulated positive elevation gain, in the recommended 6-day version. But above all, experience the full nature and charm of Fuerteventura, a great unknown!

The linear route crosses the island from its capital and runs from north to south, leaving no interesting corner unvisited. Fuerteventura is the second largest and oldest island in the Canary Islands.The absence of recent eruptions, the proximity of the Sahara Desert, and relentless erosion for more than 80 million years have created a spectacular and desolate landscape in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

A route that will take you to Fuerteventura from Puerto del Rosario, the capital of the island (also known as Puerto Cabras), to go into the north of the island until you reach the tourist town of Corralejo where you will surround its famous and impressive dunes and You will reach old volcanoes that have been dormant for millenniaYou'll also enjoy cycling along the remote trails that border Fuerteventura's rugged northwest coast and over cliffs overlooking beautiful beaches with raging waves.

La ascent to the Morro Velosa port, to end in the beautiful colonial town of Betancuria (where Jean de Béthencourt began the conquest of the Canary Islands for the crown) will make you part of Spanish history.

You will change coast, towards the quieter southeast and you will also change landscapes: beaches and trails, going up and down ravines…You'll have the chance to swim on the largest and most beautiful beaches in the Canary Islands. Don't forget the optional round-trip hike to the Mirador de los Canarios, with stunning views of the wild beaches of Cofete.

Finally, from the tourist town of Morro Jable, we'll head into the Jandía mountain range and the mysterious expanses of the Cofete beaches, where a six-day trip concludes. A journey through vast, remote spaces that invite us to journey into our inner selves.

STAGES

A route that will take you to Fuerteventura from Puerto del Rosario, the island's capital (also known as Puerto Cabras), to the north of the island to reach the tourist destination of Corralejo, where you'll skirt its famous and impressive dunes and reach ancient volcanoes that have been dormant for millennia. You'll also enjoy pedaling along the remote trails that border Fuerteventura's wild northwest coast and over cliffs overlooking beautiful beaches with raging waves.

The climb to the Morro Velosa mountain pass, ending in the beautiful colonial town of Betancuria (where Jean de Béthencourt began the conquest of the Canary Islands for the crown), will immerse you in Spanish history.

You'll change coasts, heading for the quieter southeast coast, and you'll also change landscapes: beaches and trails, climbing and descending ravines... You'll have the chance to swim at the largest and most beautiful beaches in the Canary Islands. Don't forget the optional round-trip hike to the Mirador de los Canarios, with stunning views over the wild beaches of Cofete.

ASSESSMENT

In how many days?  It is recommended to complete the tour in six days, including the optional second stage, which runs through the north of the island. It can be done by electric bike.

Suitable for: Bikers with an average level of fitness, who typically undertake multi-day rides. The technical level required is also moderate, and the route is 95% rideable, with only a few places where you'll need to get off your bike.
