La Charlemagne Route in Roncesvalles It is one of the best multi-stage MTB routes in Navarre, a circular route designed for cyclists looking for a complete mountain bike experience among forests, technical trails and landscapes of the Navarrese Pyrenees.

This route takes you into a privileged natural environment, passing through areas such as Valcarlos, Orbaitzeta and the surroundings of the Irati Forest, One of the largest beech and fir forests in Europe. A territory where mountains, history, and nature combine to offer a unique cycling experience.

Along the route, the terrain combines in a balanced way forest tracks, roads and trails (singletracks)which makes this route a very complete option for MTB lovers.

Versatile tires are the most appropriate, as there are many different surfaces (rock slabs, paths, steps, tracks, loose rock sections, cobblestones, singletrack, etc.). This is an area with a lot of vegetation and fairly narrow trails: local bikers use tubeless tires or inner tubes with sealant.
The route is followed using the tracks we provide. GPS rental is available.
