FAQs

Ideal bike: Without a doubt, a rigid bike with large developments.

Tires: Versatile tires are the most appropriate, as there are many different surfaces (rock slabs, paths, steps, tracks, loose rock sections, cobblestones, singletrack, etc.). This is an area with a lot of vegetation and fairly narrow trails: local bikers use tubeless tires or inner tubes with sealant.

Orientation: The route is tracked using a GPS tracker. The organizers also provide participants with a route map with points of interest along the stages, including restaurants, accommodations, etc.

Best time: It can be done year-round, but summer and autumn are the most pleasant seasons. Summer has very pleasant temperatures, but the route is largely shaded, along paths and bushwalks.

Type of roads: There are plenty of trails and paths, both uphill and downhill. Depending on your technical skills and strength, the route is 95% rideable. There are some uphill sections and downhill sections that, we imagine, are only accessible to bikers with names like Hermida, Oulego & Co.

Philosophy: This is a self-guided, non-competitive tour; the important thing is to enjoy the Asturian landscape.

Luggage transport: Considering the route's difficulty, it's highly recommended to book this service. The price depends on the number of people and the stages covered.

Mechanical assistance: The organization offers support services on the road.

Supplies: At each stage, you will pass through one or more villages where you can stop to eat and get water.
