Imagine cycling through endless white sand beaches and pedaling through the savanna. Visit about fat bike straw villages hidden among majestic baobab forests, observing the hyenas in their nature reserve, exploring the mangroves of the Sine Saloum delta... Well, all of that is only part of what you will experience in the first Solidarity bike trip to Senegal by Bikefriendly.

That is what we propose to you in one of our next 'Travels with soul', an initiative with which since Bikefriendly We want to collaborate to promote charitable causes in which the passion for cycling serves as an excuse to change the world a little.
Bicycles for Education
As we told you recently when presenting the Irati Famtrip Experience that we organize together with #RetoPedaELAAt Bikefriendly we believe that cycling is a perfect sport to carry out solidarity events and trips. Therefore, we encourage you to leave excuses aside and join a unique experience to get to know the project Bicycles for Education that we support in Palmarín.
During six days (five nights) You will get to know the reality of this area of Senegal from the hand of local people and this beautiful project that is being developed in two surrounding institutes, letting you be moved by the gratitude and enthusiasm of the children and teachers who will welcome us during the visit.
Bicycles without Borders started this project years ago with the aim of facilitating the access of children and young people from Palmarí to educational centers of the area and we, from Bikefriendly, began to collaborate last year by promoting and facilitating the construction of an hangar in which to store the more than 500 bikes that were already overflowing the school facilities.
A journey with soul
On their first visit to Palmarín, the Bikefriendly team was captivated by the immensity of landscapes of this country and the kindness of its people. Therefore, we decided to offer other people the possibility of living the experience for themselves.
We are launching the first Journey with Soul to Senegal for the next December long weekend., from the 4th to the 9th of that month and we give you the option of joining both the cycling option (four stages by bike that add up to about 200 kilometers) as well as the option of solidarity tourist (four experiences with soul). If the date catches you a little unexpected, don't worry, starting in 2020 we will launch this solidarity bike trip twice a year.
